Chax: Growl for iChat, and More.

Growl is a great system wide notification system for OS X, and while some IM clients support Growl natively, others need a little help. iChat is one of those applications – once you start using Growl with iChat, it’s hard to stop. Instead of having to stop what you’re doing to see what your buddy is saying, the messages appear as Growl notifications. By installing a free program called “Chax”, you can enable various types of iChat Growl notifications, among various other helpful features. Check it out here.

Roxio Streamer allows you to easily stream video from your Mac to your iPhone or iPod, as well as any other internet connected computer (Mac and PC). After acquiring Roxio Toast, Streamer is a free service and setting up Streamer simply involves picking a Streamer web address and password. Once that’s set, you’ll be able to share that information with anyone you want to access your streaming media. Stream your personal media files, or stream your TiVo recordings.
