Intro to CouchDB
Aug 3rd
Sam Bisbee, Woopid’s CTO, recently spoke at the Microsoft NERD Center about one of his most beloved topics: CouchDB. To you and me, CouchDB is an open source database platform, which also means it’s an alternative to SQL, to him, it’s a whole lot more. Of course, for anyone who would be interested in the following presentation, you probably already knew that. Watch the presentation below for an Introduction to CouchDB. You may also want to follow Sam on Twitter, where he frequently musing on CouchDB.
#1 video is “Insert Horizontal Lines” – Seriously?
Mar 5th
As some of you may have noticed, the “Most Popular” list on the Woopid home page is now filled with Office 2007 videos (and not even cool ones). Why is this happening? Starting in late February, Microsoft started listing Woopid videos in their Office.Microsoft.com website search. So in other words, when you search for something like “horizontal lines in word”, a Woopid video is the first result and when clicked, the user is taken to Woopid. Seeing as how Microsoft has a traffic rank of 14, this results in quite a few people coming to these Office videos on Woopid.
Keep checking out the Woopid Blog for cool videos that may not make it into the most popular list quiet yet. Also, don’t forget to check out the Bundles page, or the Library for other popular videos.
Merry Christmas. Give the Gift of Woopid (It’s Free!)
Dec 25th
Merry Christmas, and Happy (5th night of) Hanukkah! Why not tell your mother, father, sister, brother, grandparents and friends about Woopid? It’s sure better than explaining to them how to use their new computer or gadget they got as a present, if you ask me. Someone get a brand new Mac? Send them to the Mac OS X Basics for Beginners bundle. A new Windows Vista user? Link ‘em up to the Getting Started with Vista bundle.
In conclusion, make this holiday as joyous as possible by sending everyone you know to Woopid. Even saying “Woopid” will make you and your family happier. It’s a funny word.
